As the end of the year draws to a close, 2012 in Pictures is a record of some of the most poignant, dramatic and important events of this year. We have done our best to pick one image to represent each month.
Please tell us that we have missed!

These unmitigated images are indeed necessary to reflect a year’s turmoil. However, the year was not as destructive as represented. A better balance of images would be appreciated.

Thank you for commenting. I agree that this is a very gloomy set of images. Except perhaps for the Olympics and Obama (and even that depends of your political persuasion!) We wanted to find stories that affected the whole world and therefore related to everyone reading this blog. We would love to hear some of your suggestions, particularly if you can find some happier stories.
I have take a look of your selection…photos are great,some of them even shocking
but,how can we say what a wonderful world after this
maybe to make one more with beautiful things,let’s spread good and positive vibration

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I must confess that this article was very much harder to put together than I thought. I agree that it makes for some rather depressing memories.
