MyPhotoSchool Shortlisted For Website of the Year 2013

By Geoff Harris

@MyPhotoSchool (now Learning with Experts) has been shortlisted for website of the year.

Shortlisted for the good web guide

The Good Web Guide has launched its fifth Website of the Year Awards, celebrating innovation and online excellence. Since their inception in 2009, the Awards have been supported by celebrity entrepreneurs who have first hand experience of launching websites online including Sarah Beeny, Jamie Murray-Wells, Julie Meyer, Alison Cork and ex Dragon, Doug Richard. The judges have been deliberating over the entries during the past few weeks, whittling down the number of sites to 50.

We are delighted to announce that MyPhotoSchool is amongst the chosen few to go through to the final round of this year’s Good Web Guide Website of the Year.

The winner will be announced by Holly Tucker of Not On The High Street at the Awards Reception on Tuesday 19th November at The Royal Institution of Great Britain.  The judges have commented:  “Although we say this every year, the standard is ever higher and we hope that you'll find the shortlist representative of some really useful websites. These are sites that we hope you'll want to bookmark. Some are quirky, some deliver information in an engaging manner, others are game changers.

We strive for excellence at MyPhotoSchool and if you think we're worthy, we’d love you to support us by voting above in the People's Choice Award for the Website of the Year.

Geoff Harris

I am a journalist and photographer and currently work as the Deputy Editor of Amateur Photographer (AP) - http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk the oldest weekly photographic magazine in the world. Before that I served as the editor of Digital Camera, Britain's best-selling photography magazine, for five years. During my time as editor it became the UK's top selling photo monthly and won Print Publication of the Year at the 2013 British Media Awards. As well as being lucky enough to get paid to write about photography, I've been fortunate to interview some of the greatest photographers in the world, including Elliott Erwitt, Don McCullin, Martin Parr, Terry O'Neill and Steve McCurry. This has been a wonderful learning experience and very influential on my photography. Beyond writing, I am a professional portrait, travel and documentary photographer, and reached the finals of the 2016 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition. I am a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and hope to take my Associateship whenever I can find the time. In addition I write about well being/personal development and antiques collecting for a range of other titles, including BlueWings, the in-flight magazine of Finn Air.
